Carlos Terminel

Industrial Designer

Carlos joined Whipsaw’s industrial design team with a focus on creating practical solutions that are also sensitive to people’s need for visual harmony.

Prior to joining Whipsaw, Carlos worked in Google’s Advanced Technology and Projects group where he designed handheld consumer electronics, experimental wearables, autonomous delivery robots, and the hardware behind Google’s Jacquard platform for smart textiles. He also helped to define product features for the 2019 Pixel Buds and the Pixel 4’s Motion Sense touchless gesture sensor. He is a voracious learner and earned both his bachelor’s and master’s in Industrial Design from Arizona State University.

Carlos believes good design is a human right and should be accessible to all. His design approach balances reason with intuition, and he finds inspiration in the space between people and the artifacts that surround them.

Outside of work, you can find him collaborating with friends on design projects, playing with his cat, or catching up on the 30+ podcasts he listens to regularly.
