PacBio Revio is honored with a 2023 Gold award from Good Design Australia
The Australian Good Design Awards has been setting the international standard of design and innovation for more than six decades to a worldwide audience embodying the philosophy that design has the power to shape a better world. Acknowledged by the World Design Organization (WDO) as Australia’s premiere global design accreditation initiative, these Awards boast a rich tradition of honoring, rewarding, and celebrating the projects, people, and brands behind great design.
“There are so many inspiring impact-led projects this year that have embraced the power of design as a problem-solving tool – their design stories deserve to be recognised and celebrated at the highest level. We are proud to continue the legacy of celebrating design, and designers making a positive impact on our world,” said Brandon Gien, CEO of Good Design Australia and Chair of the Australian Good Design Awards. “The Good Design Awards showcases what true design excellence looks like to inspire others to greatness – that’s exactly what these Awards are about.”
PacBio Revio has been honored with a 2023 Gold award from Good Design Australia, a recognition reserved for entries that have not only met but exceeded the evaluation standard and also showcase exceptional design within their respective categories.
“The Revio gene sequencer project has meant so much to our team, particularly for the impact that it has on innovation and public health and the opportunity that we had to change design within the bioscience industry. Having that excitement shared by an organization like Good Design Australia is significant,” said Grace Budgett, Industrial Designer.
